Having won the Hopman Cup, Jerzy took part in the tournament in Sydney (ATP 250).

In the first round he defeated N. Kyrgios 6:1, 6(6):7, 7:6(5). In the second round he lost to L. Mayer 6:4, 1:6, 6(3):7.

After Sydney there was a time for one of the most important events in tennis schedule - Grand Slam - Australian Open. 

Jerzy reached 3rd round there and defeated: H. Moriya 7:6, 2:6, 6:3, 7:5 and G. Monfils 6:4, 1:6, 6:7, 6:3, 6:3. Jerzy's stay in Melbourne ended up with his lost battle with F. Lopez 6:7, 4:6, 6:7.

The season has started in a really masterly way!

Jerzy and Aga won Hopman Cup 2015!

They won 9 matches out of 12. Their opponent were teams from Australia, France and Great Britain. In the final they played against the USA. 

Hopman Cup had its first edition in 1989. It's deemed to be the unofficial world championship of mixed-gender tennis teams. Poland won it for the first time.

In the end of the season Jerzy participated in two tournaments in Europe - Swiss Indoor Basel ATP 500 and BNP Paribas Masters Paris ATP 1000.

In Basel Jerzy lost to D. Istomin 1:6, 1:6. 

In Paris things went the same. S. Querrey defeated Jerzy 7:6(5), 2:6, 4:6.

During last two weeks Jerzy took part in two tournaments in China - Beijing (ATP 500) & Shanghai (ATP 1000).

In Beijing he lost in the 1st round playing against Andy Murray 7:6(6), 4:6, 2:6.

In Shanghai he performed better than in Beijing. In the first match Jerzy defeated E. Roger-Vasselin 3:6, 7:5, 7:6(6) to meet... Andy Murray in the next round. Second match was won by Murray 5:7, 2:6.

Atlas Jerzyk Cup 2014 will be held on 11 and 12 Oct. 2014.

Jerzy reached another quarterfinal in this season! He defeated A. Mannarino 2:6, 7:6(5), 6:4 in the 1st round and Jarrko Nieminen 6:4, 6:4 in the 2nd. In the quarterfinal Gael Monfils turned out to be better this time and Jerzy lost 3:6, 4:6.

Now Jerzy is getting ready for China Open in Beijing. 

Having reached the final in Winston Salem Jerzy went to NYC to participate in the last Grand Slam this year - US Open. In the last few years Jerzy didn't have better result that reaching I round. 2014 turned out to be more fortunate. Jerzy defeated D. Lajovic 6:3, 7:5, 5:7, 7:5. In the second round Kevin Anderson played better and Jerzy lost 7:6, 2:6, 1:6, 3:6.

Next tournament: Metz ATP 250. 

After a good performance in Cincinnati Jerzy had a way better performance in Winston Salem Open. 

In Cincinnati he reached 3rd round. He defeated T. Gabashvili 6:4, 6:4 and G. Dimitrov 6:4, 3:6, 6:3. Finally, he lost to J. Benneteau 5:7, 1:6.

WInston Salem turned out to be lucky place for Jerzy. He reached his second ATP final there. On his way to the last match of the tournament he defeated two higher-classified players, broke Goffin's strike of 25 consecutive victories and in the final he was really close to win it (had two match points).

Now it's time for Grand Slam - US OPEN in NYC.
