Today a 2-year sponsoring/advertising contract was signed with Atlas, a company registered in a Polish city of Łódź. The company has thus become Jurek's main sponsor. In the new season their logo is to appear on Jurek's T-shirts. 

Jurek reached the finals in the tournament in Paris. After a day's rest he defeated Andy Murray (Britain) who was seeded 3rd with the result 5/7 7 / 6 (4) 6/2, Janko Tipsarevic (Serbia) seeded 8th, 3/6 6/1 4/1 40:0 ret. and Gilles Simon (France), 6/4 7/5. In the final match he lost to Spaniard David Ferrer seeded 4th, 4/6 3/6.

This huge success and gained points contributed to Jurek's advance to the 26th position in the ranking of best tennis players in the world.

Jurek competed in the BNP Paribas Masters tournament, the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 with a great success. He flew through the eliminations; he has already won two matches in the main tournament playing against Philipp Kohlschreiber (Germany) and Marin Cilic (Croatia), both world's top 20 players. Jurek is yet to lose his first set. On Thursday, he will play against the 4th best tennis player in the world, Andy Murray.

Today Jurek is enjoying his day off, practising with Novak Djokovic.

Jurek reached the quarter-finals in the Kremlin Cup tournament by the Bank of Moscow, ATP World Tour, 250. To get there he succeeded in defeating Benjamin Becker (Germany) 7/6 (6) 6/3, Carlos Berlocq (Argentina) 6/3 6/4. He then lost in a match for the semi-finals to Thomaz Belucci (Brazil), seeded 4th, with the result 4/6 6/7 (3). Thanks to the points gained there, he advanced to the 64th position in the ranking, the highest in his career so far.

Jerzyk is one of the four candidates for the "Revelation of the Year" award in a plebiscite organised by ATP. Martin Klizan (Slovakia), David Goffin (Belgium) and Andrey Kuznetsov (Russia) are the other three candidates.

These young tennis players broke into the top hundred ATP ranking in the most impressive manner. Klizan is currently listed 31st, Goffin - 45th and Kuznetsov 73rd. Jurek Janowicz is at the moment at the 64th position. The award will be granted in a vote carried out among other tennis players. Nevertheless, even the nomination is a great honour for a player.

Last week Jurek competed in singles and doubles tournaments in the Belgian Mons Ethias Trophy, ATP Challenger Tour with the pool of 106.500 € + H. He reached the quarter-finals in the singles. In doubles, partnered by Tomasz Bednarek, he won the whole tournament.

On Monday he was advanced to the 76th place, the highest rank in singles so far. In doubles he is now listed 257th.

Jerzyk reached the quarter-finals of Pekao Szczecin Open Challenger. He was seeded 3rd in the tournament.

In the first round, he defeated Yannick Mertens (Belgium) 6/7 (8) 6/3 6/4;

the second round brought a victory over Artiom Smirnov from Ukraine: 6/3 6/1.

In the third round Jurek lost to Inigo Cervantes (Spain) 4/6 2/6.

During the match against Mertens, the speed of 251 km/hour was recorded during Jurek's service. This is the third fastest recorded service speed in the world.

Poland defeated Belarus 3:2 and was promoted to the Group I Europe/Africa. Precious point came from Jurek, who beat 1st tennis player of Belarus – Uładzimir Ignatik 7:6(4), 6:2, 6:3. Łukasz Kubot and Marcin Matkowski/ Mariusz Fyrstenberg also won their matches.

Jurek spent more than 3 weeks in the USA. He participated in two ATP torunaments (Cincinnati and Winston Salem) and in the last Grand Slam this year - US Open in NYC.
